What is Orcha?

Do I need Claude Code installed?

Yes. Orcha drives the same claude CLI you already use — it doesn't replace it. You need the Claude Code CLI installed and a Claude subscription (Pro or Max).

What macOS versions are supported?

Orcha requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. It runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs as a universal binary.

How do I install Orcha?

After checkout you receive the DMG. Open it, drag Orcha.app to your Applications folder, and launch it — Orcha discovers your existing Claude Code projects and sessions automatically. No license key, no account.

Why $99 instead of a subscription?

Orcha has no servers and no per-use costs — it's a native app that rides the Claude subscription you already have. There's nothing to charge you monthly for. You pay once, you own it.

Is there a trial or refund?

No. All sales are final. The recordings on the homepage and features page are the actual app — what you see is what you get.

Do I get updates?

Yes — when we ship them, the app updates itself. But be clear on what you're buying: the app as it exists today, forever. Updates are a bonus, not a promise.

Can I modify my copy?

Yes. Your copy is yours — patch it, resign it, run it forever. The only things you can't do are redistribute or resell it.

Does Orcha modify Claude Code?

No. Orcha observes Claude Code through its official hooks and CLI — it doesn't patch or wrap it. When Anthropic ships changes, Orcha keeps working; if something breaks, we fix it.

Do I need to use a terminal?

No — chat sessions are the default: a Claude-Desktop-style chat tab per project, talking to your own claude CLI. Terminal tabs still exist and are first-class for when you want the raw PTY; pick per project, or set your default in Settings.

Which models can I use?

Whatever your Claude subscription includes — Opus 5, Sonnet 5, Haiku 4.5, Fable 5, and "latest"-style aliases the CLI resolves. Pick the model per chat, right in the composer.

Does it work with agents other than Claude Code?

Terminal tabs run any CLI agent — they're real terminals. The deep integration (chat sessions, the orchestrator, automations) is built on Claude Code. Adapters for other agent CLIs are on the roadmap.

How does the orchestrator work?

The orchestrator is a persistent Claude session with tools over your whole workspace. Ask what's running, dispatch background agents into any project, or steer a running session — chat or terminal — it runs on your Claude subscription, no API key needed.

Is my data private?

Yes. Orcha runs entirely on your Mac with no account, no license server, and no telemetry of any kind. The only network traffic is Claude Code's own, and (if you opt in) the app's update check. See the security page for full details.

Does Orcha auto-update?

When we ship an update, the app can install it automatically. Updates are delivered in-app on a best-effort basis — they're a bonus, not a promise.

Orcha doesn't show any projects

Accepted Answer

Make sure Claude Code is installed (run 'claude --version' in Terminal) and you've run at least one session. Orcha discovers projects from ~/.claude/sessions/ and ~/.claude/projects/.

A terminal tab is blank or not responding

Accepted Answer

Try closing and reopening the tab. Check that your shell is configured correctly in Settings > Terminal > Shell. If the issue persists, restart Orcha — or switch that tab to a chat session instead.

How do I re-download the app?

Use the link in your purchase receipt email — it always serves the latest build. There are no license keys and nothing to activate. If you can't find the receipt, email support@orcha.build.
