Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
The short version
The Orcha app runs entirely on your Mac. It has no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting, no account system, and no license validation — it collects nothing and never phones home. To run the beta and this website we do store a small amount of data — your email and a few sign-up metrics — described below.
Who we are
Orcha is developed and maintained by Orcha Software. For privacy questions, contact privacy@orcha.build.
The app itself
Nothing. Orcha has no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting, no account system, and no license validation. It never sends information about you or your work anywhere.
Beta & account data
To participate in the beta you sign in with your email address (a one-time "magic link"). To operate the beta we store, in our database:
- your email address — used to sign you in and to answer support requests;
- the beta code you redeemed, and how many times you downloaded and when — used only to understand which invitation channels testers come from;
- basic sign-in session records needed to keep you logged in.
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. We may occasionally email you about the beta or the product; you can ask us to stop at any time.
Purchase data (at launch)
When paid sales begin, checkout will be handled by Stripe. Stripe collects the payment information needed to process your order; we receive your email address and an order reference so we can grant access and provide support. We do not receive or store your payment card details, and there are no license keys.
Data Orcha accesses on your Mac
Orcha reads files in ~/.claude/ and your project folders to discover your coding-agent sessions and projects, and it stores its own state in a local SQLite database and config files on your machine. All of this stays on your Mac — it is never uploaded to us.
Network activity from the app
- Your agents' own traffic — the
claude,codex, andaiderCLIs talk to their own providers under those providers' terms and privacy policies. Orcha does not intercept or add to this traffic. - Update check (opt-in) — if enabled, the app checks for new versions and downloads them. This sends the current app version and nothing else.
Service providers we use
To run the website and beta, we rely on a few processors that may handle your email:
- Vercel — website hosting
- Neon — database (stores the beta/account data above)
- Resend — sending sign-in and product emails
- Cloudflare R2 — hosting the app download
- Stripe — payment processing (at launch)
Each processes data only as needed to provide its service.
Cookies
The site uses a sign-in session cookie so you stay logged in, and essential cookies for checkout at launch. See our Cookie Policy.
Your rights
The personal data we hold is your email and the beta metrics above. Under GDPR and similar laws you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@orcha.build. Deletion requests are honored within 30 days.
Children's privacy
Orcha is not directed at children under 13, and the beta is limited to adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
